Paul Madore Choir presents Requiem and Gloria by John Rutter

Music Director, Paul Madore, will conduct the Chorale in two contrasting works by contemporary English composer, John Rutter.  In the first half of the program, the Chorale will perform Rutter's haunting Requiem dedicated to its "Celestial Choir", all deceased members who have sung with the Chorale over the past 48 seasons.

In the second half of the program, the solemn mood gives way to joyful anticipation with the performance of Rutter's exultant Gloria, a fitting prelude to the Holiday Season.

Soprano Rebecca Hains will join the Chorale for this performance.  Jeffrey Brody will accompany the performance on the Church's 1882 Hook and Hastings organ.  Additional accompaniment will be provided by orchestra and brass ensemble.

Said Wicked Deeds is rooted in primary sources, offering an opportunity to reclaim our own story, proclaiming and revealing the tragicomic realities of our neighbors, 300 years removed.

Musical interludes will connect evocative interpretive readings.
