FREE DARK NIGHT STAGED READING SERIES
SPONSORED IN PART BY KEN ROTHWELL CATERING.
STC is excited to offer a FREE monthly Staged Reading Series. The series will take place on "dark" Monday nights at theatre and is sponsored in part by Ken Rothwell Catering: complimentary refreshments will be provided.
The series is a chance to offer audience members a more intimate setting where there will be an opportunity to hear a play and discuss the piece with the director, actors and each other following the reading. The series also offers a low-pressure creative process for actors and directors. With refreshments and a casual setting STC is thrilled to begin this series of "living room" style readings.
Join us for the kick off as we diverge a bit from our traditional, annual Shakespeare Open Mic and we read A Midsummer's Night Dream.
Interested in reading for a play? Click here and complete the form. Interested in directing a play? Email email@example.com. Currently we are trying to schedule a minimum of one reading per month, but we'd love to try and offer more if possible!
April 25: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Coordinated by Caroline Watson-Felt
The Bard’s turning 400! Come join our "fairy band!"
We're shaking-up our annual celebration of Shakespeare's life with what we're calling "Shuffled Up Shakespeare!" All are welcome to this free event! How it works: We're shuffling-up the roles and handing out parts at random to anyone who comes through the door and wants to read A Midsummer Night’s Dream! This event also marks the official kick off for our monthly Dark Night Staged Reading Series. Click here for more details about the Series!
Don't want to read? no problem - Join us as an audience member and see "Midsummer" like you've never seen it before!
Enjoy complimentary refreshments from Ken Rothwell Catering. Doors opens at 6:30pm. “Casting” drawings start at 7:00pm, reading starts at 7:30pm!
