Three Toad Sloth @The Lobster Shanty

  • The Lobster Shanty 25 Front Street Salem, MA, 01970 United States (map)

Formed in Bill Halls' living room in August 1990,Three Toad Sloth set out to take the Boston music scene by storm and failed miserably.Instead they were content to play for free beer and 1/2 price on sandwiches in local pubs.Songwriter Adam Antczak fronts the band simply because he already knows all the words. Mike MacIver plays guitar and keys. Bassist Bill Hall plays bass which is appropriate.
3TS Drummers - Bill "Stuhlman" Brennenstuhl was the original drummer who left only to reappear a few years later only to disappear again. He now waits tables at Mickey's Big Boy in LA.
Roger Brocklebank brought a bit of finesse to the band and was promptly fired for it. He now makes tons of money drumming for other people.
Benny Benson, Russ Lane, Russel Lawton, Andy"the kid from New Orleans", Dana Brown and the incomparable Stevie Wah all drummed for us at least once during what I call "The Lost Years".
After "The Lost Years", Cliff Goodman (yes,THAT Cliff Goodman) moonlighted with us for the couple of years that I now refer to as "Those Years After "The Lost Years" That Cliff Drummed For Us" Cliff is now making gyros down the street at that place next to the hair salon.
Eric Peacock is our current drummer and philosopher.Almost a generation younger than the rest of the band, when asked what it was like to play with 3TS he explained,"Well, they pay me sometimes and I got to split some jalapeno poppers with Mike once." Peacock has been M.I.A. as of late but there have been recent sightings in laundromats and Stop & Shops around the greater Beverly area.
